Who We Are

Powering progress in birth care since 1994

We are a committed team of changemakers— our volunteer Board of Trustees and small-but-mighty foundation staff— united by a shared belief: that everyone deserves access to the safe, inclusive, and high-value birth center model of care led by midwives. With backgrounds that span birth center leadership, midwifery, public health, advocacy, and community organizing, we bring diverse perspectives and skills to the Foundation. Some of us have worked on the front lines of care; others are simply passionate believers in the power of autonomy and equity in childbirth. Together, we work to advance and sustain the midwife-led birth center model through advocacy, education, grants, and strategic support, all made possible through the generosity of our donors.
